Curtiss Jenny crashes on takeoff

The pilot, Ron Alexander, was on the Board of Directors of EAA. It was his recently restored Jenny. The other passenger hasn't been identified by the media yet. A very skilled pilot with over 40,000 hrs - something went terribly wrong on takeoff.

Condolences to the families of both persons and to the EAA. They lost a good one.

Ron was a very nice guy. His dream of and vision for Peach State has helped influence new generation of aviators by reaching back into the past. Thoughts and prayers for both families.
