Family of teen who fell from plane considers lawsuit

送信時刻:

The family of the 16-year-old who died after falling out of an airplane says they're considering filing a lawsuit. Anthony Tisdale and Jonette Washington, Delvonte Tisdale's parents, have hired Florida attorney Christopher Chestnut. The family says they hired Chestnut because they were not getting answers about their son's death. (www.charlotteobserver.com) さらに...

The family wants information so that they can dominate their son for the Darwin Award.

The kid chose to do that so the family shouldn't be able to sue the airport.

no no...the family isn't considering a lawsuit: some half baked attorney with nothing better to do than chase ambulances is considering the lawsuit. Look at our country and see "what" really runs it and ruins it.

OOps! Chestnut leaves right up the street! (Gainesville)

So filing a lawsuit to seek answers which the FAA, the airport, and US Airways have no answers to will do what? How the hell can they get answers if no one has any answers? make them up and feed the family BS. Since when did personal responsibility go out the window?

well they are sayin he stowed away to go to his father's house on the local news

ANY OTHER EXPLANATION NEEDED?? SUCH A BULLSH** LAWSUIT!!! any wonder why insurance rates are so FREEKING high for EVERYONE. you can sue for ANYTHING IN THIS F*nnn country.

As long as there are dishonest lawyers and a public that prefers not to raise voices that profession will continue to grow at a faster pace than the US economy and of course they will continue to outnumber doctors and engineers and pilots and cientists and what not and of course millions will continue to flow to the millionaire-beggars and their lawyers. Basta, enough of this crap!!

If their lawsuit is really just about getting answers and forcing people to give responses, then I'm sure they won't sue for any money. They'll just sue for information, right? How would winning money get them answers? (please note my sarcasm)

you can be sure of one thing: until you throw the lawyers out, the laws will not change. It is a conflict of interest for an attorney to make laws.

Ferguson Sam: Take a look at our government. It’s made up of almost all lawyers. In fact most of our founding fathers were lawyers. Like most professions i.e. doctors, pilots, etc. there are good and bad.
In Washington there is an organization named Judicial Watch. It’s all lawyers. Their purpose is to watch our government for the bad and good and expose/correct what they can.
This is an ideal case for Judicial Watch. Tom Fitton [email protected]. How did he get into the airport? Does this expose unsafe conditions for our planes that should be corrected? If he got in why not terrorists too? The first step here is to enquire through the right to know provisions of our laws. If no proper response is provided then file suit. In the process the kid’s family may win a monetary replacement for the kid. That’s the way our system works. Do you have any kids? Obama has lots of money to give away, why not use some to investigate the safety of this airport?

Where, oh where does personal responsibility come in? How about parantal responsibility? Oh, I forget-everyone is responsible except for the parents and the Victim (criminal).

In case you have not checked out the lawyer representing this family, he has received numerous awards........... http://www.chestnutfirm.com/profiles/chris-chestnut. What does he want to prove, that everybody is guilty: the airport, the airline, the FAA, the NTSB, etc. This so damn foul smelling like the family of a bank robber getting killed during an assault suing the police, the FBI, the maker of the gun, the bank security guards, etc. with the representation of one of the thousands of ambulance chasers around. Makes me sick.

The idiot didn't fall OUT of an airplane, since he was never IN it. The better description would be that he fell FROM the plane. If they do sue the airline, hopefully the judge will throw the lawsuit out of court, and charge them the court fees for wasting the court's time. This family and lawyer are just trolling for an entity with deep pockets or a willing insurance company.
RGibson259
I’m not saying that there is no personal responsibility. But there is also other responsibility in this great country. But which responsibility is greater, securing our airplanes or the one who found the poor security? Again were you ever a kid? Did you not ever do something exploratory or exciting? Cripes, by the time I was 15 you could have written a book.
As for the lawyers, as long as we have personal and special interests in this country we will have lawyers, good and bad. I hope when I need one I get a good one.

Mr. Gibson; all I suggested was that it was a conflict of interest for lawyers to make bills. They will be encouraged to make, or not make, bills that detract from their profession. I would make the same suggestion for drug companies: there is a conflict of interest with them marketing drugs...I personally had the "pleasure of seeing my mother dispensed Vioxx with resulting congestive heart failure...(And no I didn't sue anyone, but I sure as hell would like to see the system changed) As far as our forefathers, no I don't believe or care if they were attorneys. As far as the way the system works: the system does not work the way it is and we are getting proof of it everyday. Whether its a plane company like Cirrus getting sued and losing over somebody's death, a kid climbing a fence and getting into a planes wheel well; the best one I have seen lately is call a lawyer if you get a sinkhole...next will be being hit by lightning.

We the people yes need to be responsible, but we could change the system where we police ourselves, and instead of irreparably destroying people with financial rewards, find other ways to make people/corporations be responsible. We desperately need to come together as a community, instead of trying to kill each other in one form or another.

I can also personally promise you that one will never EVER find any system that is foolproof, or anyone ever that hasn't made a mistake.
RGibson259
Ferguson Sam, I’m sorry if I offended you. My purpose was to try to focus this string on the whole picture and not just blame a 15 year old kid. I am more in agreement with you than it appears.
Think on This ...
This is the first lesson ye should learn: There is so much good in the worst of us, and so much bad in the best of us, it doesn't behoove any of us to speak evil of the rest of us. This is a universal law, and until one begins to make application of same, one may not go very far in spiritual or soul development.

The best lawyer story of all time . . .

The United Way realized that it had never received a donation from the city's most successful lawyer. So a United Way volunteer paid the lawyer a visit in his lavish office.

The volunteer opened the meeting by saying,'Our research shows that even though your annual income is over two million dollars, you don't give a penny to charity. Wouldn't you like to give something back to your community through the United Way?'

The lawyer thinks for a minute and says,'First, did your research also show you that my mother is dying after a long, painful illness and she has huge medical bills that are far beyond her ability to pay?'

Embarrassed, the United Way rep mumbles 'Uh . . . No, I didn't know that.'

'Secondly,' says the lawyer, 'did it show that my brother, a disabled veteran, is blind and confined to a wheelchair and is unable to support his wife and six children?'

The stricken United Way rep begins to stammer an apology, but is cut off again.

'Thirdly, did your research also show you that my sister's husband died in dreadful car accident, leaving her penniless with a mortgage and three children, one of whom is disabled and another that has learning
disabilities requiring an array of private tutors?'

The humiliated United Way rep, completely beaten, says, 'I'm so sorry, I had no idea.'

And the lawyer says, 'So . . . If I didn't give any money to them, what makes you think I'd give any to you?'

Robert Gibson sorry but your statement that every kid did something "exciting" by age 15 and hence should not be held accountable is frankly very imbecile. We all did stupid things by that age but "boys will always be boys" and hence be allowed to get away with anything, indeed imbecile to the bone. Whether you are 15 or 51 or 101 years old, you have to pay the price for "exciting" forays, and this infortunate kid climbed over a fence, went past airport security guards (all of this being federal offenses guaranteeing at least a couple of months inside the can) and endangered the lifes of 50-100? people by getting inside the wheel well. Very exciting indeed, hope that no other kid will do the same thing next time you take a commercial flight.

No offence Mr. Gibson, I very much agree with Edgar Cayce and I didn't mean to imply there isn't a place for law and attorneys. Let the people make the laws and let attorneys write and argue them.

I did crazy stuff too as a teenager, but probably because I didn't have a father that could teach me discipline and responsibility, or demonstrate the pursuit of a love and passion. This poor kid was probably trying desperately to see/find his father...so sad.

I say they should sue the TSA for allowing a security breech. The TSA obviously has tons of money and can' spend it fast enough. Let the idiots on both side battle it out!
