There wasn't a dry eye outside gate K5 at Chicago O'Hare airport when an American Airlines pilot was surprised after his retirement flight from Dublin, Ireland with an Irish blessing (www.foxnews.com) さらに...
That was our church choir from St. Anthony’s on the Lake Parish in Pewaukee, WI. It was most special as it was our choir director’s last “concert” before her retirement as well!
That is fantastic... that was a very nice thing for them to do... Thumbs up to all who arranged and did this... Job well done.. need more stories like this.
what a lovely gesture..as a norm, retiring pilots are treated to a waterspray arrival by the airport firetrucks, and a cake and ballons at the entry gate..this was an added bonus for this man! i wish him the best in his retirement...
Many years back my uncle made his retirement flight and his son, who was a pilot for another airline, was allowed to be his 2nd officer (co-pilot). I can't remember, but I think their airlines were Eastern and Delta. The passengers were served champagne and cake. I don't know, but I'll bet it wasn't just coke and sandwiches in the cockpit.
Something's off, or perhaps incomplete, in this story. As written, it suggests he had arrived directly from Ireland at K5. That's not an international arrivals gate - indeed, not even in the right building for international arrivals.
There are many amazing things in this world. One of the most astonishing is that many people still appear to believe in talking snakes and asses, global floods, magical gods who live way up in the sky, virgin pregnancies, men living inside fish and dead guys waking up after 3 days.
But then people who substitute faith for thinking don't have much intellectual horsepower anyway.
You NEED to quit wasting time on believing in and spreading mythology.
Although antithetical to your mythological beliefs, why don't you educate yourself before you go out as another clueless sheeple. I sincerely hope you haven't procreated, continuing the cycle of ignorance!
