Hey Look the Most Nightmarish Idea for Plane Seating Ever

Reminds me of a slave ship.

Show me how that configuration can be evacuated in 90 seconds and I'll eat that seat...

Every so often I see a design, tool program, etc, that absolutely defies logic in a "real world" application....I say " I'd like to get my hands around the throat of the MORON that invented THIS thing"...
I think the same regarding this seating idea.
This belongs crammed in a drawer of a filing cabinet siting in the 8th sub basement of an otherwise vacant office building.....

New torture

I only fly when it's absolutely necessary now, because of the tight seating the airlines already have. With this kind of seating it would be never, for no reason.

Maybe more shoulder room, but how do you get by to go to potty?

I flew backwards twice on SW airlines. The first time was on a leg of a flight for my honeymoon! Very hungover and VERY uncomfortable. This was our (my wife and I) fault since we were the last few people on the plane. But hungover and flying backwards, especially through turbulence, was memorable but not something I like to bring up as one of the better parts of the honeymoon! The second time was only about an hour long flight related to business and I could have cared less. THIS however, seems terrible! My 2 cents!

They missed the boat. Now if they put pax in harnesses and suspended them from the ceiling...

Southwest had their Lounge seating areas until just a few years ago, one fore, one mid-cabin at the exit row and one aft on either side. Actually was very nice to fly "backwards"!

if memory serves, don't the passenger seats on the upper deck of a C-5M Galaxy face aft?

OH MY GAWD!!!!SOUTHWEST USED TO HAVE JUST THE VERY FRONT SEATS FACING BACKWARDS ON THEIR AIRCRAFT,AND THATS WHERE THEY SEATED UNACOMPANIED CHILDREN...THIS IS A HORIIBE IDEA, ALON WITH HAVING PASSENGERS STANDING LIKE ON A BUS OR SUBWAY!!WHAT WONT THE AIRLINES THINK OF NEXT TO CRAM IN MORE PEOPLE!!!
