If you want a newer airplane, that's the way to do it. If you want to spend less money and not sit on the edge about fuel, and don't care about flying an older airplane, a LR-36 is the way to go. Acquired cheap, built like a tank, and does the job in a way that no other Bizjet could match.

I think you're missing the point. It’s not whether you can stand sitting in a CJ for 6+ hours. It has everything to do with fuel management, and your ability to "round trip" fuel. This would allow you to save money on fuel as well as time.

Not to mention your ability to handle ATC constraints, like re-routes, enroute holding, etc.

What temp on the ITT for the PC-12?

790-800 if we're in a hurry, not that it gives more than 4-5kts, 780-785 normally, and 750ish or whatever I need for fuel flow if I'm pushing range or endurance. Somewhat less in a legacy ship.

Thank you Rob!-The Epic is limited to 760 ITT, which typically produces about 318-325 KTAS over the ground with 53 gallon per hour

No idea what the range of a CJ1 is but I used a 100kt+ tailwind to nonstop PSP to JAX a few years back in a PC12.

They're great for carrying a bunch of stuff or people 1,500 miles. Not so great if you're in a hurry to get there. On board wifi helps!
