DAL 738 at KGSP

送信時刻:

Normally serviced by MD-90. Not sure if its a temporary equipment change or an increase in capacity. GSP traffic up nicely and prices down even more since SWA came to town. Nice to see this one. (flightaware.com) さらに...

probably just had extra hours, the DC-9s are getting phased out so it might be a test run for future ideas

Could be, but a-800? Big increase in capacity. Could be they're looking at lower frequency / higher capacity type service. Would seem to make sense to me as much traffic as goes through ATL from here.

Actually it was a Cogen Air flight using the wrong aircraft on the wrong airport.

It was an equipment substitution...a DC-9 was scheduled but it most likely had a mechanical in ATL, so they subbed it with a 738.

I'd agree with equipment sub

I was surprised to see a Southwest 737 taking off from MEM to HOU though they were supposed to be starting MEM flights sometime next year. Things are changing next thing you know it's A320s and B739s as regional routes.

Actually it was a charter bringing Florida State to town to play Clemson. Ferried ATL/TLH and GSP/ATL. It'll reverse the flights this evening after the game is over.

@Ed. That is incorrect. The 738 left about an hour before the Fla St charter arrived which was a 763 (DAL-8904). I think the other posters were correct in that was eq change on the original flight.
