Equity-based flying club. 30 members, 3 airplanes: Diamond DA40, Piper Archer, and a Cessna 182. Club makes zero profit, dues cover fixed expenses and hourly rates (paid by tach hour, not hobbs) cover hourly expenses. First $50 of flying each month is free if your account is not past due. All aircraft are IFR equipped and current. All aircraft are autopilot-equipped. 1 Archer has VFR LORAN, other Archer has Garmin GX55 GPS (IFR enroute & terminal certified) and the 182 has a Garmin GNS430W IFR WAAS approach certified GPS. GPS databases are kept current.
Aircraft availability is excellent. Scheduling is allowed up to 180 days in advance, limit 6 future flights scheduled at once, but no restrictions on how long you have the airplanes and only a 1 hour per day minimum. Scheduling is available via web or phone using aircraftclubs.com.
Membership is limited to 30 members, but shares are generally available due to lost medicals, members moving or buying their own airplanes, etc. Membership applications, detailed descriptions and pictures of the airplanes are available on the web site at capcityflyers.org.
