Just beautiful. Looks like a great day to go for a ride. Or to catch that perfect photograph. Good job.

Great photo!

I've noticed in many of the military jet photos, the orange exhaust comes out and and is captured in the photos as "multi-segmented exhaust bubbles". Can anyone explain why this is? I'm just curious about that. I get the prop based vortices caused by high/low pressure for the blades, but this jet phenomenon has me stumped. Thanks in advance everyone. Cheers!

@Jason Berlanger, this may help: http://aviation.stackexchange.com/questions/12449/why-does-afterburner-exhaust-have-pulses . It is visibile to the naked eye, no optics needed.

Makes me proud, I machined wing parts for this F15 for years working sub contract for McDonald as the sole supplier!

Looks to me like the radome came off a C/D model. I think E's are typically color-matched to the gunship grey.

Excellent capture of this incredible machine...and showing the workstations of those controlling it.

One of the best-ever photographs of the F-15E Strike Eagle!
Solid Five Stars for the imbeciles that rate it anything less.

Thanks @WhiteKnight77 and @jobeard. Great info in some fascinating science.
