Rockwell Turbo Commander 690 (VH-PCV)
Adelaide, South Australia, September 10, 2020.
One of the four morning regional departures takes off from Rw 05 at 0734 bound for Alice Springs.
Comments
Currently there are 3 AC50s and this one AC90 operating these return services to Pt Lincoln, Pt Pirie and Naracoorte in South Australia plus the service to Alice Springs in the Northern Territory. They are known as the ‘bank planes’ (as in financial institutions) and I believe they carry parcels and packages. They only fly weekdays, excluding public holidays.
Operator, GAM Air, rotates its Commanders periodically between the eastern states so we don’t always have the same four based in Adelaide.

Cool catch Gavin!
Thank you Darryl.
Nice shot Gavin!
Thanks Mike. Just for info, it was over a km away, taken at 500 mm on a D850 and heavily cropped - lucky to get a reasonable pic.
Came out well!
