Airbus A350-900 (9V-SJA)

Early morning ground mist is still present as Singapore Airlines flight 279 is about to touch down.

Starting the previous Wednesday (May 6) which I didn't know about until I saw it on the news that night, one SIA flight a week is scheduled to arrive and depart from here carrying cargo only (hello Viv if you read this - passenger aircraft carrying freight only, you were right on the money).

The flights are using the normal morning flight numbers, 279 inbound, 278 out and information I have is that there are supposed to be 6 such scheduled flights.

Exquisite light .... And this pic caught the A359 perfectly. We'll never see one of these by us. ( Well done. Worth a Standing O )

Yep, cargo-only flights are now a "thing". Our FAOR up in Johannesburg gets multiple dailies, but unfortunately none down in my neck of the woods.
And I can only echo Gary - Excellent catch and brilliant use of the morning light. Nicely done !

Gary and Viv...thank you. As I write this, another one is expected tomorrow morning but the weather dude says it could be raining quite heavily so I'll probably miss out. I don't drive (never have) and my partner takes me out but it might stretch the friendship. Needless to say she doesn't share my enthusiasm for cold wet early mornings outdoors.
