As much as I prefer the newer Evo Blue livery that United now has, this one still every time looks fabulous in evening/morning lighting conditions! You can also see that this particular bird, Ship 4617, has some of the patched panels on the tail. The reason for these sometimes oddly painted panels is often that when a repair is done, there isn't time to paint the replaced panel to match the livery. Thus you can get an interested combination of aircraft and replaced panels in different colors schemes. This is why you'll see different painted pieces on an aircraft and even different airline's panels on an aircraft.
