92-0404 —
A pair of Vipers ... 920458 (Side 04), an F-16B, and 920404 (Side 57), the F-16A ... roll toward me as they both taxi out from the NAWDC ramp for a training sortie last week. This photo is the first pic of 920404 to be posted into FA's gallery.

I felt a bit like a cameraman in the middle of a street as two high performance racing cars were bearing down on me. I knew that as long as I remained seated, there would be enough "clearance" between the bottom of their wings and the top of my head. (Big Grin) But the fact that gave me the MOST confidence that I was not in any danger was .... they were both turning left toward KNFL's Alpha taxiway. :-)
The day was actually a very cool one temperature-wise, but the sun was out so the ramp surface was heated and with the added heat from the two Fighting Falcons, my low position allowed me to capture the illusion of water on the concrete caused by the shimmering heat.

That's a great shot, Gary! Thanks for sharing!
Gary, this one hits it out of the ballpark... all the way. "5" stars for certain!!!
Calendar material! the color is awesome Boss!
TYVM, guys. Being in this spot to get this shot made me think of what thoughts an enemy fighter pilot would be having if he / she looked back and saw a flight of two Vipers sitting on his / her tail. "Nowhere to run... and no time to run there. Life's been fun ... and now it's done." (lol)
Awesome shot Gary!
Outstanding catch and capture, Gary! Am I correct that the "Vipers" are the "enemy" squadron that the "friendly's" must find and shoot down?
One can only hope to capture shots like this some day. AWESOME!!!
