McDonnell Douglas DC-10 —

It wasn't a very hot day. It's the triholer's exhaust that is causing the heat distortion between it and me. The earlier arrivals were all two engine paxbirds and none really created noticeable jet blast heat waves so I had to wait until this one arrived. That third engine (the tail mount) really made a difference which enabled me to get a good shot of the distortion behind the tri while still getting the right side markers cleanly.
* To all e/m recipients ... I did get a sweet and clean capture as it smoked the mains and added more rubber on to runway 16R. Much better action shot than this one. Will send. *
