McDonnell Douglas MD-83 (N804WA)
"Zahira," a WAL Mad Dog (informally known around here as the "Con Air" bird because it performs transports for ICE and also for the DOJ) as it is about to land for a brief visit to pick up incarcerated people and relocate them to other "living quarters."

This is about as close as any photographer will get to this one when it is here. It gets ramped in an isolated section of the apron, one engine is shut down, armed personnel deplane and post around the aircraft, new "passengers" are driven up to the stairs and marched aboard, the guards reboard the plane, the door shuts, the second engine is restarted, the plane taxies, and then it departs. Photography of all of this activity is not only "discouraged" at all times, it is prohibited. Walk anywhere near this one with a camera and watch how fast the camera gets confiscated.

Ignore him. His photos were (and when he posts, still ARE) super quality, but he has this fixation that tends to override his judgement. It's a shame. Just ignore him. (Wave)
