Bell V-22 Osprey —

Unfortunately, the pair of United States Marine Corps V22 Osprey's flew by and I was late on the photo so what you see is, of course, NYC skyline with the Liberty Tower (World Trade Center) on the left and Empire State Building on the right in the Summer of 2018.

FYI: Today I am almost at the northern end of Sandy Hook NJ. The distance across the bay is 6.7 miles to what is the Brighton Beach area of Brooklyn then it's a leap to Manhattan and the total distance from my position to the Liberty Tower is 16.6 miles. Planespotting at Sandy Hook can be challenging with the atmospheric conditions and distance to the plane but if conditions are good it can be a fun time as the planes just keep coming and coming and passing by. Best to be there when landings head into 4R or 4L.
