If the range and weight numbers hold up, they are more than enough to displace the 757 and Boeing really hasn't begun to build a 797 so we are unlikely to see that for 10 years. It is hard to imagine Delta and United (and to a lessor extent American) wringing another 8-12 years out of their current 757 inventory. Airbus will have a huge head start assuming the A-321LR begins to become available next year.
