This reminds me ALL too much of my time at Continental...when I flew a B-757 KCLE to Gatwick (EGKK) back before CAL had access to Heathrow (EGLL). We ALSO "adopted" (for a while) KMIA-EGKK routes from Eastern Airlines...then flown by the DC-10-30. Yeah, I operated those a few times, as an F/O.
The "landing slot" concept is BIG BUSINESS...'innit'?? :-)

Thanks for reminding us what Lorenzo did to Eastern Airlines to favor Continental Airlines. Eastern did not get any remuneration for the theft of its Gatwick landing slots.
I wasn't personally responsible for this. Business, and former Astronaut Frank Borman had a hand in it.
Might be time to let that axe that you seem to have been grinding away at finally get ground down to a nub.
It will take them forever to make money after paying that, there must be more to it I don't understand
