Don't know why there is no bid from Bombardier with a proven record in the cold environment and STOL capability to get in and out of small airports under bad conditions just like the Buffalo has done for many years. The DASH 8 is a great platform with a long record of partnering with P&W. They keep talking about Canadian content for ships but ignore that principle here.
