The Institute of Aviation has long been recognized for the excellence of its flight training program and for its research activities in the area of aviation-related Human Factors. The Institute of Aviation's degree program in Human Factors follows this tradition of excellence.
The Mission of the Institute of Aviation is:
-to provide excellence and leadership in human factors research thus fostering the development of human centered technology for the future;
-to provide excellence in graduate human factors education through the Master of Science in Human Factors degree program and through collaborative, interdisciplinary efforts involving faculty, doctoral students, and masters students from across campus;
-to provide excellence in undergraduate education preparing aviation's future leaders through the Bachelor of Science in Aviation Human Factors degree program and quality flight education; and
-to provide to the community, the state and the nation leaders who will improve the productivity, safety and quality of life in the 21st century.
