Worst FBO experience in my travels. I visit approximately 20 different airports each month, and unfortunately I have 2 horrible experiences here (my last experience now that I have found the Ultimate FBO there). On trip 1 I arrived after hours and waited 20 minutes for a line guy to show up (despite having called ahead). I was told there were no vending machines available and I would have to use the restroom in the fuel station. They guy didn't know how to operate the credit card machine, and took 15 minutes reading the manual before I finally got frustrated and did it for him. On the day trip, I was parked about 500 yards away because "they were waiting on another airplane which had parking priority". Oddly enough no other planes ever showed up. After I started my engines the line guy indicated I needed to come back inside because they had forgot to have me sign the credit card slip. If I were you, I would avoid this FBO and go across the airport to Ultimate.
I have had the pleasure of visiting McKinley Air at least twice per month over the last 5 years. Mr. Armand and his staff are TOP NOTCH!! From the second you arrive on the ramp you are greeted by an attentive and knowledgeable line service crew, who are quick to help with luggage and ground transportation. In over 100 visits, I have ALWAYS been met by line service. When needed they are quick turn ready, and get you in and out FAST!! The girls behind the counter are always friendly and helpful with any need that arises. We are always greeted with a smile and warm welcome. If you are going to Akron, McKinley Air is the place to go. I HIGHLY recommend this FBO!!
