BOEING 737-400 (N498SA)
Caught here tucking the wheels in the wells, Southern Air's Flight 194 (N498SA, a B737-4xx), climbs up into a clear blue early evening sky over the Truckee Meadows and northern Nevada after taking off from RTIA's runway 34L at 6:06 PM yesterday (7 July 2016) for a trip to KDEN.

I've been waiting a while to catch N498SA. It has been here several times but I kept missing it, and I wanted to add it to my "collection" of SOO fleetbird pics. I was just leaving RNO after teaching a photo class there that had run somewhat longer then expected when I noticed activity around the Southern Air area. My view of the SOO ramp sector was blocked and I couldn't see the reg number on the aircraft so I decided to hang around a bit longer. My patience was rewarded when the Yellowjacket pushed back and I saw the reg. So I now have clicks of four SOO fleet aircraft.
perfect snap!!
Hey, hi, Uwe. :-) These bright yellow SOO birds sure do make a splash of color in a blue sky.
