Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress (N5017N)
"Aluminum Overcast," a B-17G (N5017N) operated by the EAA, sits under heavily overcast skies after arriving at KRTS yesterday afternoon from Napa, CA (KAPC). Aluminum Overcast will be at Stead for three days.

I snapped several shots of this B-17 as it was on short final yesterday, and they came out with perfect clarity; however, due to the thick cloud cover, the photos are all rather gray. Weather forecasts are calling for blue skies this weekend, so I'll get much brighter snaps of Aluminum Overcast in the air today, tomorrow, and Sunday.
