As you know this service has no definitions or guidelines when it comes to posting votes on an image. I am going through the same thing. Rest a sure you have wonderful photos that appear to be nothing less than good to great and exceptional. Personally a 5 star vote for me is that the plane must be in the air, N number in complete view and of course well composed but that's me and the way I shoot but I only have a little over 400 pictures posted. I do it because I like taking pictures of planes not because of the vote but am really annoyed when someone doesn't have a clue as far as voting on a picture.
Again like what you do with the camera and should you read this tell me the camera you use.
