FlightAware Tied for 2nd place in the services category for its live flight positions data feed, a standalone flight tracking data feed that aggregates ADS-B, MLAT, and RADAR positions combined with flightplan and flight status (FLIFO) information, to create a real-time, worldwide flight tracking picture.
The winners were announced during a Best-in-Class ceremony at Eurocontrol headquarters in Brussels and were among 30 air traffic management (ATM) information solutions that were submitted to the Master Class jury panel. This is FlightAware’s second year with a podium finish.
“FlightAware is incredibly pleased to accept the Master Class 2015 nomination and is very appreciative of SESAR’s support in running a well organized competition. The Master Class is so valuable because application developers and services providers of all kinds have the freedom to design clever ATM solutions and receive feedback from industry,” said, Daniel Baker, Chief Executive Officer, FlightAware.
